Whew! Last week was a Very Long Week. Starting Tuesday, we had orientation for 8 to 12 hours each day... meetings, tours, lectures, and placement exams. The placement exams were the worst... really, you expect me to remember how to do music theory at 8 in the morning? Unlikely...
In spite of feeling slightly frazzled, I made an effort to get myself dressed up in my vintage(-ish) finery every day of orientation... we must keep up some standards around here, after all! Well, and give everyone else a heads-up as to what sort of trouble I'd be the rest of the year. The Dean said that he thought Doug and I might be the sharpest-dressed in the conservatory. And, although these pictures don't prove it, I even managed to wear some hats! So I think we're off to a good start.
