Week 39.2 & 39.3: Catch-up edition

I would like another weekend, please.  So that I can recover from this one!  Doug and I went to see some friends of ours perform in Into the Woods (it was splendid) on Friday night, and I wore a new beaded cardigan I thrifted.

Sparkly beaded cardigan: Goodwill
Black wool pencil skirt: Also Goodwill
Pewter rhinestone bracelet: JC Penney
Black Gloves: 57th Street Antiques Mall
Sequin pumps: DSW

On Saturday, we spent upwards of 5 hours driving so that Doug could visit his grandmother, who is in the hospital in poor health.  I walked around the nearby factory outlets, took awkward self-portraits in public, and drank coffee.

Sunday involved the usual several hours at church, followed by an accidental nap, and then several hours at choir rehearsal.  And tomorrow I have to get up early to get my very first fillings, how exciting.

At least the $5 shoe gods have blessed me yet again:

Black cardigan: Gift from Doug's mom
Green short-sleeved sweater: Goodwill
Green patent belt: Target
Green bangles: Various
Black & navy circle skirt: made by me
Black gloves: 57th Street Antiques Mall
Green petticoat: Malco Modes, via Amazon
Black Naturalizer wedges with cutouts: Goodwill. $5.  Yay!

  1. I love Naturalizer shoes! I have a pair from my grandma and they're so comfy.

  2. You put together the loveliest of outfits, dear Frances. I adore this crisp palette of black and lime green, and of course can't get enough of your marvelous thrifted beaded cardigan (stellar find!).
