Squeaking in a post real quick before it's Wednesday again (really now, how did that happen??) since I still haven't finished last week's posts... this is Saturday's outfit. Doug bought me this hat at the antiques mall before he left for Canada, so I decided to wear it when I went to pick him up at the airport when he got back. I really like it, although it does require curled hair. And other green or gold-toned things, of which I have surprisingly few.
Green velvet hat: Present from Doug
Navy blue dress: 57th Street Antiques Mall
Tan deerskin gloves: Present from the choir librarian
Green brooch: Probably my Busia's?
Green patent belt: Target
Green bangles: Various
Black patent pumps: Payless

beautiful outfit!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteThat hat is absolutely beautiful. I love that your fellow buys you vintage chapeaus, too.

Thank you! He's a good sort :)
DeleteI love that hat. I have a question for you. I have a pink feather half hat with some beautiful curled detailing around the ear. I bought it on a whim and have no idea what to wear it with. I don't like to look full on vintage, so do you have any ideas on how to incorporate it into my wardrobe or events I could wear it too?
ReplyDeleteThat hat sounds AMAZING! I'm sure you could wear it with a modern cocktail dress without much trouble, or perhaps with skinny jeans, matching pink pumps, and a vintage-inspired blouse? I always do curled hair with my hats, I think it works much better...
DeleteHmm. I'm adding this to the "to-be-blogged-about" list! I'll see what I can come up with :)
