Good morning! Last night I was sifting through nail blogs looking for something inspiration for my nubby nails when I found this stained glass nail tutorial by Colette over at My Simple Little Pleasures. I hopped right up from my computer and went sifting through my stash for glitter-y topcoat polishes I could use to recreate the look on my nubby nails. Amazingly, I don't have many dense glitter topcoats, so I made do with what I could find.

| Uh, I really owe you all an explanation about that ring soon, don't I... |
I have to say, I'm totally charmed with how this turned out. They're so bright and sparkly... the glitter catches the light very nicely. And I do think my freehand abilities have improved over time! I had a much steadier hand drawing lines and applying the blocks of color.
For this design, I used my Sinful Colors Basecoat followed by one coat of Sinful Colors Black On Black. I probably should have used two, but I was being impatient. I made the blocks of color with Milani Digital, Nicole by OPI Brilliant Idea, Sinful Colors Nail Junkie, and Sinful Colors Queen of Beauty. I used a small paintbrush with Black on Black and a little acetone to neaten up the lines, and I covered it all with NYC Grand Central Station. There's still a little texture left on my nails, but not enough to really bug me.
What do you think of this look?

Very nice!!
